Thom Biller Updates

Introduction

We will use this page to post news and update information concerning the Thom Biller software. Use this page to stay up-to-date and to know when to look for a CD in the mail or to download an update. You can also retrieve update release notes in each section, and the current User's Guide at the bottom of the page.

1/13/21 - Upgrade v21.01a for All Thom Biller Users

This is for all Thom Biller Users.  It adds an Insurance Export routine to send insurance information to DPH.

Here is the up2101a.exe upgrade. Right-click on the link and "Save As" to your desktop. Then run it using the password you will receive by email.

11/10/20 - Upgrade v20.11a for All Thom Biller Users

This is for all Thom Biller Users.  It adds a checkbox on the rate file to allow you to use the actual place of service code for telehealth billing as required by some payers.

Here is the up2011a.exe upgrade. Right-click on the link and "Save As" to your desktop. Then run it using the password you will receive by email.

9/10/20 - Upgrade v20.09a for All Thom Biller Users

This is for all Thom Biller Users.  It fixes a bug in single client or prior run billing runs.  It also adds simplified DPHID edits.  Please refer to the documentation for details.

8/26/20 - Upgrade v20.08a for All Thom Biller Users

This is for all Thom Biller Users.  It adds a second modifier for billing telehealth services to payers who need it.  Please see documentation for details.

7/29/20 - Upgrade v20.07c for All Thom Biller Users

This is for all Thom Biller Users.  This basically a maintenance update that fixes or improves some small issues.   Please see the documentation.

Here is the up2007c.exe upgrade. Right-click on the link and "Save As" to your desktop. Then run it using the password you will receive by email.

7/1/20 - Upgrade v20.07a for All Thom Biller Users

This is for all Thom Biller Users.  It updates your commercial payer rate files starting 7/1/20 and supports the new DPH remit files.  Please see the documentation for details.

5/19/20 - Upgrade v20.05a for Thom Programs Only

This is for all Thom programs only.  Please run it before your next off-site billing to bring your version up to match that in Natick.

4/27/20 - Upgrade v20.04e for all Thom Biller Users

This is for all Thom Biller users.  It applies the new MED rates.

4/2/20 - Upgrade v20.04b for all Thom Biller Users

This is a replacement for the earlier upgrade posted today (v20.04a).  It has a couple of bug fixes, one involved DPH remit runs.  If you have not run v20.04a, you can skip it and just run this one.  If you have run v20.04a, this upgrade will run much faster as it will not change any data files.

Here is the up2004b.exe upgrade. Right-click on the link and "Save As" to your desktop. Then run it using the password you will receive by email.

4/2/20 - Upgrade v20.04a for all Thom Biller Users

Please run this upgrade as soon as possible.  It now supports telehealth service entry, billing, and reporting to DPH.  See documentation for details.

This upgrade has been removed and replace by v20.04b above.  Please run it instead.

2/14/20 - Upgrade v20.02b for all Thom Users

Please run this upgrade as soon as possible.  See documentation for details.

2/11/20 - Thom Biller Upgrade v20.02a for Thom Off-sites Only

Please run this upgrade to bring your system up to match that in Natick.

2/7/20 - Patch for v19.12a for all Thom Users

Please run this upgrade to apply the patch for v19.12a to fix the current SDR group DENNUM code problem.  This will not change the version on your system, but you will see a small "patch 2/7/20" window in the top right corner after it starts up.  For base/off-site agencies, the patch does NOT need to be run at the off-site locations because they do not do SDRs and the overall version has not changed.  Also, the off-site to base billing exchange will not be affected.

12/18/19 - Upgrade v19.12a for all Thom Users

Please run this upgrade to apply the new group rates.  See documentation for details.

Please run this upgrade to apply some recent maintenance changes.

1/22/19 - Upgrade v19.01b for all Thom Users

Please run this upgrade as soon as possible to install the new BCBS rates and allow you to process 2019 BCBS autism claims.
