The Heart of Thom Worcester Area Early Intervention

If you’ve ever called Thom Worcester Area Early Intervention, chances are the warm and friendly voice you heard on the other end of the line was Nunee.  Since joining our program in 2011, after several years at UMass Early Intervention, Nunee has been a cornerstone of the Worcester team for nearly 18 years.  With her degree in Business Administration from Worcester State College and her wealth of experience, she is the steady presence who keeps our office running smoothly.

As our Office Manager, Nunee is truly the glue that holds everything together.  She is the smiling face that greets staff, children, and families each day, and the go-to person for just about any question—whether it’s about ThomConnect, intake schedules, paperwork, deadlines, or even how to work the printer.  Her knowledge is endless, and her patience is unmatched.  No matter how busy she is, she always takes time to answer questions thoroughly, give her full attention, and make sure everyone feels supported.  With over 40 staff members, this is no small feat!

What makes Nunee so special is not just her expertise, but the way she brings heart to her work.  She delights in welcoming families to playgroups, lending a hand during drop-off, and making children feel at ease from the moment they arrive.  Her favorite part of the day is greeting the kids—and it shows.

Beyond her role at Thom, Nunee is just as creative and caring.  She loves to bake and cook (she can make any recipe!), enjoys drawing and crafts, and is an excellent “plant mom.”  At the Worcester front desk, she’s even created a “plant hospital” where greenery gets a second chance at life.

In short, we simply love Nunee.  She embodies the warmth, dedication, and community spirit that define Thom Worcester Area Early Intervention, and we couldn’t imagine our program without her.
