Thom Child and Family Services was represented at the United Way’s Community Baby Shower at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston on April 24th. The annual event connects new and expecting parents who are facing economic hardship to a variety of community resources. Maura Buglione, Thom’s Director of Development, and Shari Kent, Thom Boston Metro Early Intervention’s Outreach Coordinator met with many families and community partners to provide information on early childhood development and early intervention. At the event, families had access to free childcare, educational trainings, and new parent “Baby Basics Box” which included necessities such as: diapers, baby wash, childproofing items, onesies, bottles, and more.
