After much anticipation and excitement, we are thrilled to announce the results of our Electronic Health Record Naming Contest! With 75 creative submissions flooding in, the competition was fierce, but one name stood out above the rest: ThomConnect.
ThomConnect encapsulates the very essence of what our EHR system aims to achieve – seamless connection and integration of our daily workflows and activities with our mission. It promises to streamline information, scheduling, and crucial data, consolidating everything into one user-friendly platform. This innovative system is set to alleviate the daily burdens faced by our frontline staff, administrative teams, and program directors.
But what makes ThomConnect truly special is the nod to our rich heritage. By incorporating the name Thom, we pay homage to our 100-year legacy while boldly stepping into the future with the first-ever Massachusetts home-built, EI-specific EHR system.
The selection process wasn’t easy, with numerous compelling submissions making the decision tough for our panel. Popular choices like Doug, Douglas & The Dougie, and humorous suggestions such as Tiny Tot Records and Babygate brought laughter and creativity to the table. However, in the end, ThomConnect emerged as the unanimous choice, capturing hearts and minds alike.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to our two contest winners, Greta Shepard (West Newbury) and Danielle Berardis (Lowell), whose submission clinched the top spot. Additionally, we commend Kerry Van Nort (Framingham) and Delia Seitz (Woburn), the runners-up whose contributions added depth to the selection process.
