Exciting Partnership: Thom Child and Family Services & Harvard CAP Team Collaborate on Organizational Enhancements

Thom Child and Family Services is thrilled to share an update on our partnership with the Harvard Business School Association of Boston’s Community Action Partners (CAP).  This collaboration focuses on enhancing operations, communication, and efficiency across Thom’s ten sites, ultimately strengthening support for the children and families we serve.  We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to work with the talented Harvard CAP team and benefit from their expertise and insights.

Over the past few months, Thom and CAP have identified three key priorities: fostering stronger collaboration, balancing standardization with site autonomy, and improving operational efficiency.  To address these areas, CAP is working closely with Thom’s leadership, forming cross-site and cross-functional teams to enhance communication, streamline policies, and implement best practices in scheduling, onboarding, recruitment, and human resources.

This partnership is set to culminate in May 2025, when CAP will present strategic recommendations and tools to sustain these improvements.  We look forward to the lasting impact of this collaboration in advancing our mission to provide exceptional support to children and families.
