We are excited to announce the appointment of Migdalia Rivera Flores as the new Program Director of Thom Worcester Area Early Intervention (Thom WAEI). Migdalia has been a valued leader at Thom for over a year, most recently serving as Program Director of the Thom Anne Sullivan Center in Lowell. We are thrilled that she is staying within the Thom family as she transitions into her new role in Worcester.
With a wealth of experience in Early Intervention and a passion for collaborative leadership, Migdalia brings a dynamic and inspiring energy to our team. A strong advocate for continuous learning, she describes herself as a “curious learner.” Her leadership style emphasizes true collaboration, integrating the valuable perspectives of staff members into management decisions to ensure a holistic approach. She is also deeply committed to strengthening our bonds with community partners to meet the needs of families effectively.
Migdalia’s background in nursing offers a unique perspective to her role, which she couples with a proven track record of progressive growth and leadership in EI, including change management. Her exceptional communication and interpersonal skills have been instrumental in her professional success and are perfectly aligned with the priorities identified by our Worcester staff.
And what better way to welcome a new leader than with a celebration? Last week, the Worcester team hosted a surprise welcome party for Migdalia. The event was filled with laughter and conversation, including some fun icebreaker games designed to help her connect with her new colleagues and begin putting names to faces. It was a wonderful opportunity for everyone to connect in a relaxed setting and a fantastic start to Migdalia’s new journey.
Please join us in extending a warm welcome to Migdalia Rivera Flores! With her expertise and collaborative spirit, we are excited about the opportunities ahead as we continue to serve the children and families of the Worcester community with excellence.
