Supporting Families and Fostering Growth at Thom Mystic Valley

Thom Mystic Valley is proud to recognize Catie Pitkin for her ongoing work and commitment to children and families.

Catie has been a Developmental Specialist at Thom Mystic Valley for 17 years.  She is especially passionate about working with Autistic toddlers and supporting families through the use of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) strategies.  She also enjoys her role as an Intake Facilitator, where she connects with families at the start of their Early Intervention journey.

In addition to her clinical responsibilities, Catie serves as a liaison with Cradles to Crayons, helping to provide essential items such as clothing and diapers to families in need.  Most recently, she stepped into the role of Thom Champion to support the implementation of Thom Connect within the office, our new platform designed to strengthen communication and collaboration between families and providers.

Catie values mentorship and  provides supervision for interns interested in the field of Early Intervention.  Holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Development and a Master’s Degree in Education, she is currently pursuing a second Master’s Degree in her journey toward becoming a Speech-Language Pathologist.
