Dr. Ed Tronick (standing center, back row), director of the Child Development Unit at UMass Boston, with members of Thom Anne Sullivan Center staff.

The Thom Anne Sullivan Center staff was privileged to have Dr. Edward Tronick, developmental and clinical psychologist and director of the Child Development Unit at the University of Massachusetts Boston, as a guest speaker at a recent staff meeting.  Dr. Tronick’s presentation on “The Still-Face Experiment and Infants Meaning Making without Language or Symbols” delivered valuable information about parent-child interactions.  Throughout the presentation, Dr. Tronick provided updates of the most current research on infants and early child development.  This learning opportunity was graciously sponsored by Enterprise Bank of Lowell.
