Thom Child and Family Services Welcomes New Program Director to Thom Springfield Infant Toddler Services
Thom Child and Family Services is excited to welcome Allyson Wendy Lopez as the new Program Director of Thom Springfield Infant Toddler Services. Allyson is an experienced non-profit leader who cares deeply about promoting a healthy and supportive environment for children, families, and staff.
Allyson is a dedicated early education and human service professional with 15 years of experience in family relations and childcare service and management, in addition to doing some home visiting and group facilitation earlier in her career.
A Springfield resident, Allyson has spent the last 12 years leading an EEC licensed center and recently has been integral in COVID related leadership. She spearheaded her center’s re-opening, following EEC and the Governor’s requirements for childcare. Allyson is familiar with the uniqueness of leading an urban program and has an appreciation for the complexity of managing an organization with state level oversight and multiple stakeholders.
Her academic background in early childhood education, human services, psychology, and organization management make her well suited to be an early intervention program director. Her dedication to children and families, as well as to staff and the larger community, align with Thom’s mission and commitment to high quality Early Intervention service delivery.
Marie Peirent served as the Program Director of Thom Springfield Infant Toddler Services for 18 years. In addition to management of the Early Intervention program, Marie oversaw Early Intervention Parenting Partnerships (EIPP), Welcome Family, and the Western Regional Consultation Program (WRCP) at our Springfield location. Marie is a passionate and dedicated leader and impacted the lives of countless children, families, and staff over the years. During a goodbye celebration for Marie, her colleagues used adjectives such as enquiring, analytical, dedicated, helpful, compassionate, and detailed to describe Marie’s bright mind. Thom Child & Family Services would like to thank Marie for her many years of service and dedication and we wish her well in the future.
