– May 1, 2007 – Peter Woodbury,
Executive Director of Thom Child & Family Services and Donna
Frodyma, Early Intervention Program Director, are pleased to announce
the re-naming of the Early Intervention Program located at 198
Vanderbilt Avenue in Norwood to Thom Neponset Valley Early Intervention.
Although the name has changed, the Program’s experienced
Early Intervention staff members will continue to serve children
and their families from twelve South Norfolk County communities
they have served for the past ten years.
Thom Neponset Valley Early Intervention
provides intervention and support for children birth to three
years old and their families who live in Canton, Dedham, Foxboro,
Medfield, Millis, Norfolk, Norwood, Plainville, Sharon, Walpole,
Westwood and Wrentham. The program offers parent support and educational
groups and playgroups for children who are eligible for Early
Intervention Services because of a special need or developmental
delay. A limited number of spaces in playgroups are also reserved
for toddlers from the community at large to participate. In addition
to services offered at the Norwood program site, Thom Neponset
Valley Early Intervention offers play groups at St. Timothy Parish
in Norwood and therapeutic home visiting services provided by
teachers, speech, occupational and physical therapists, and other
family support staff.
Thom Child & Family Services
