Each year over 10,000 infants, toddlers and their families received support from Thom Child and Family Services. Families in 159 communities across the state – from the cities of Boston, Lowell, Worcester, Springfield and Haverhill to the small towns of western Massachusetts and numerous suburban communities – counted upon Thom’s nurses, social workers, physical and occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, educators and other specialists to help their young children during this critical time of development. The fact that so many young children need our help is heartbreaking, yet we are proud to have the capacity to provide these services.We have the expertise and ability to intervene now – before age three – at a time that is most promising for overall outcomes, but we could use your help.
