Five separate Community Playgroups are held at Thom Neponset Valley Early Intervention Center, from 8:45-10:45 AM and from 11:15 – 1:15 PM on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays. These groups are open to residents of any of the communities served by Thom Neponset Valley EI and include children from the community as well as children receiving EI services.

Toddlers who participate in these groups learn to socialize with other children, to explore their environment, and to see how others play and learn.

Two different Community Playgroups, held at Thom Neponset Valley Early Intervention Center, offer older toddlers the opportunity to participate in group two times each week. The groups meet on Mondays and Tuesdays from 8:45 AM – 11:45 AM. These groups are open to residents of any of the communities served by Thom Neponset Valley EI and include children from the community as well as children receiving EI services.

Toddler Times II groups offer a more structured classroom environment geared at preparing children for preschool programs. Separation from parents or primary caregivers is expected for all participants.

Currently Thom Neponset Valley EI offers a parent/child playgroup at St. Timothy’s Parish Center in Norwood. The group meets on Friday mornings from 9:30-11:30 AM. The group welcomes children who are EI eligible and children from the community who are between the ages of 15 months and 4 years old. Although there is no charge for participation in this group, donations are always appreciated.
